About NIT

Nepal Information Technology (NIT) is an institution that imparts Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode of education. ODL has been proved to be the best mode of learning for fulfilling the educational aspirations of masses, especially those who have missed the chances of learning due to various social, spatial and temporal constraints. Ever since its establishment in the year 2008, it has been providing different courses/ programs of world's largest Open University - Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The courses/ programs on offer here at NIT are academic as well as professional ones varying in disciplines of Management, Humanities, Computer Science and Social Sciences. NIT is a legally registered institution under the laws of Government of Nepal.

Located at DAV Complex in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, NIT offers a well-suited academic environment for the learners. It has computer facilitated classrooms/ lecture halls, computer laboratory, a library and a seminar hall.
